Carl F. Schinderling of Rock Falls, was dead on arrival at Community General Hospital Friday afternoon at the age of 71.

Carl F. Schinderling was born on May 15, 1898 in Hamburg, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schinderling. He was united in marriage to Georgiana E. Smith on Sept. 22, 1923 in Pierre, S.D. They moved to Madison, S.D. and then to Rock Falls 13 years ago. He worked at the R.B. and W. Co. for several years prior to his retirement in June 1969.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John (Irene) Searing of Rock Falls, Mrs. William (Ruth) Wickert of Madison, S.D., Mrs. James (Ramona) Clausen of Rock Falls and Mrs. Sylvester (Lavina) Strang of Madison, S.D.; three sons, Fred and Harold, both of Rock Falls and Darrell of Rockford; two sisters, Mrs. Leland (Matha) Shore of Chariton, Iowa and Mrs. Jack (Betty) Parks of Burbank, Calif.; one brother, Gearhardt of Huron, S.D.; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his wife, Georgiana who died Jan. 7, 1968, three brothers and two sisters.


Funeral services will be 3 p.m. on Monday at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. E.A. Henrichs, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll, Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday.
