RICHARD EMMETT KUSS - Our beloved Richard Emmett Kuss, age 73, resident of Poor Valley, Rogersville, went to his final resting place on March 22, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. He was born in Memphis on September 27, 1937. Through the course of his lifetime he served in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a firefighter, truck driver, county bus driver, substitute teacher and an active member of the community. Survived by his brother, James E. Kuss; children, Cynthia Breland, Patricia Hughes, Richard Kuss, Jr. and Andrea Stafford; and numerous grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Marie Kuss, and a son Louis E. Kuss. A memorial service will be held at the National Guard Armory, Rogersville, on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cherokee High School ROTC and band or the Salvation Army.
