Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Herbert A. Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson Cemetery.
Mr. Mealer, born and reared in Williamson County, was the son of the late Ben and Willie Ann Wilkes Mealer. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Loula Holt of Franklin and Mrs. Annis Claiborne of Brentwood; two sons, Earl Mealer of Franklin and Richard M. Mealer, stationed in Viet Nam; three sisters, Mrs. Fisher Ingram and Mrs. Carmack Burdette of Franklin and Mrs. Charlie Inman of Franklin; four brothers, Gilbert P. Mealer of Antioch, J. P. Mealer of Franklin, Robert E. Mealer of Houston, Tex., and Dennis E. Mealer of Nashville; and 13 grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
