He was a life long member of Christ Reformed Church of Cavetown, having served as a member of the Consistory for a number of years and treasurer of the Men's Bible Class. Mr Winters was well and most favorably known in the community and also in the county.
Besides his wife, Shirdie Honodel Winters, he is survived by these children: Mrs. C. Earl Kelley, Hagerstown; Mrs. Edward L. Bachtell, Mrs. J. Hugh Warrenfeltz, Samuel J. Winters, Smithsburg; Ardie W., Los Angeles, Calif.; Kittie, Annette and Richard, at home; sister, Mrs. R. C. Harp, Hagerstown. He also leaves eight grandchildren.
Funeral services Wednesday afternoon at 3'oclock from Christ Reformed church at Cavetown by the Rev. E. T. Plitt, preceded by a brief service at the home. Interment in the church cemetery.
