Franklin Paine Curtis, a well known resident of Fairbank, died Friday morning at the family home, after an illness extending over several months. Mr. Curtis was about 63 years of age and was born near Independence, Ia. When a young man he came to this vicinity and remained here until his death. He was a rural mail carrier for about 14 years. Besides his widow, he leaves to mourn his death four children. Charles of Ironton, Minn., Merton of Fairbank, Jasper of Baxter Ia., and Mrs. Susie Paine of Fairbank. He also leaves three brothers, Charles and Jasper Curtis of Hazleton and Fremont of Royal, Neb., and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Hoover of Walker and Mrs Riley Pratt of California. The funeral services were held Sunday morning in the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. J. C. Clark and the interment was at Otterville.
