Emma Ruth Feaster, 87, of Fountain West Health Care Center, 1501 Office Park Road, West Des Moines, died Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of complications of strokes. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Feaster was born in Appanoose County and returned to Des Moines from Elmhurst, Ill., in 1967.

Surviving are her husband, James F.; and a son, James L. of Dallas, Texas.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Drake University.
