Miss Cathcart Rites Tuesday
Centerville - Miss Mary Ellen Cathcart of R-3, Centerville, passed away Saturday evening in Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, at the age of 73 years, 3 months, 21 days.
Born in Jerome, Dec. 23, 1895, she was the daughter of Leslie F. and Jean Ross Cathcart. Miss Cathcart was a retired school instructor who taught for a number of years in Chicago schools.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Neal Bear, Centerville, Mrs. Emma Feaster, Des Moines; four brothers, Leslie, Centerville, John, Jerome, James, Centerville, William, Cheyenne, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil Latta officiating and burial in the Jerome Cemetery.
