BERRYVILLE -Mrs. Ruth Early Ramsburg, 64, of Route 1, died yesterday evening at her residence.

She was born in New Hope on Feb. 4, 1915, a daughter of the late Mrs. Mary Leonard Early of New Hope and the late Joseph Early.

Mrs. Ramsburg was a home economics teacher in Rockingham and Fairfax Counties, a home demonstration agent in Fauquier and Clarke Counties and a teacher in a Clarke County grade school.

She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Ramsburg; four son, Charles L. Ramsburg of Roanoke, John J. Ramsburg of Mt. Sidney, Thomas G. Ramsburg of Winchester and Richard E. Ramsburg of Columbia, S. C; one brother, Joseph L. Early of New Hope; two sisters, Lois Coiner and Hanna Early, both of Waynesboro; and four grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Ranson, W. Va., conducted by the Rev. Richard Neal. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville.

The family will receive friends today and tomorrow from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the residence.

The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the St. Thomas Lutheran Church building fund.
