Richvale Rancher Lundberg Dies at Local Hospital. Prominent Richvale rancher Albert Lundberg 81 died today at Enloe Hospital where he was being treated for head injuries suffered in a June 19 automobile accident.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine whether the rancher died as a result of the injuries. He was one of three persons injured in a three-car collision on Highway 99 at Highway 162.
Lundberg was born Feb 1, 1889 in Phelps County, Nebraska. A grain farmer there until 1937 he and his wife then moved to Richvale where they engaged in rice growing.
He was a member of the Richvale Evangelical Free Church, the Butte County Rice Growers Association, and the Rice Growers Association of California.
Survivors include his widow Frances; four sons Homer of Chico and Wendell, Harlan, and Eldon all of Richvale; one sister Mrs Oscar Grell of Richvale; and eight grand-children.
Funeral services win be conducted at 10 am Monday at the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bryan C. Johnson, pastor of the Chico Evangelical Free Church, will officiate.
