MRS. W. C. DAVIS DIES AT HOME ON SEVENTH STREET
Funeral Services to be Conducted at the Residence at 3 O'clock This Afternoon.
Mrs. W. C. Davis died Tuesday morning at 8:40 o'clock at her home at 403 West Seventh street. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon and interment will follow in Elmwood cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was a faithful member of the Tryon Street Methodist church, but on account of the illness of its pastor, Rev. H. G. Hardin, the funeral will be conducted by Rev. J. E. Abernethy. Pallbearers will be W. J. Jarrell, Dr. A. M. Berryhill, A. H. Wearn, Fred Sawyer, Joseph McLaughlin and J. N. Hunter.
Having been born in Rome, Ga., February 23, 1872, Mrs. Davis was 51 years of age. She came to Charlotte with her parents when a small child.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Miss Frances Eleanor Davis; two sons, W. A. and H. E. Davis, all of Charlotte. Two sisters, Mrs. S. R. Berryhill and Mrs. R. F. Berngeaser, of Charlotte, and a brother, W. D. Scott, of Jacksonville, Fla., also survive.
