Well Known Women [sic] of the County Passed Away Thursday Afternoon at 6:30 O'Clock.

The funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Frances Marietta Scott, who died Thursday evening at 6:30 o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. R. Berryhill, near Juneau, will be conducted this morning at 11 o'clock at Mrs. Berryhill's home. Rev. Dr. Luther Little, pastor of the First Baptist church, Charlotte, will conduct the services.
Mrs. Scott had been in ill health for two months and declined rapidly for the past two weeks.
The deceased was born in Plainsville, Ga., and was 82 years old, having been born January 13, 1836. she was married to William Byron Scott, a prominent citizen of Plainsville, in 1855. The family removed to Charlotte in 1875. Mr. Scott died here in 1898, after which she made her home with Mrs. Berryhill. She was a member of the First Baptist church, of this city, and was a devout believer in that denomination.
Two sons and three daughters survive: W. D. and C. A. Scott, of Atlanta, Ga.; Mrs. S. R. Berryhill, Mrs. R. F. Borngesser and Mrs. W. C. Davis, of Charlotte. Mrs. Scott was a sister [sic] of the late Mrs. F. C. Munsler, who died in this city a few years ago, and of the late J. F. Mosteller, also of Charlotte.
