Former Banker
Passes at His Home

John G. Morrow, 66, died Mon-
day at his home, 3637 Granada.

Born near Morrow, La., a resi-
dent of Dallas for more than forty-
five years. He was engaged in the
banking and real estate loan busi-
ness. Morrow served in various ca-
pacities in the old City National
(now the First National) Bank and
was an officer and director in the
First Federal Savings and Loan As-
sociation from its organization in
1925 until the time he retired in
1939. He was a past president of
the Dallas chapter of the Ameri-
can Institute of Banking, and a
member of the organization com-
mittee of the Citizens Charter As-
sociation. He is survived by his
wife, the former Miss Teresa Cas-
sidy; two daughters, Mrs. C. A.
Conway, Evanston, Ill., and Mrs. T.
J. McLeod, Dallas, five grand-
children and three sisters, Mrs. D.
W. Bailey, Mrs. Stella Toler, Mrs.
Alice Stewart, and a brother, Wil-
liam Morrow, all of Shreveport, La.
