Betty Jo Sherrell, 84, Springfield, Missouri passed away from this life Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 9:43am.

She was born on January 13, 1928 in Ava, Mo. to Louis and Luna (Clements) Brown. She graduated from Ava High School. She spent most of her adult life in Springfield. Betty retired from the Sears Roebuck Co. in 1999 after 44 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband Donald E. Sherrell who died April 18, 2002. They were married December 18, 1944 and shared 57 years together prior to his death.

She is survived by three sons, Donnie Sherrell and wife Ruth, Indianapolis, IN; Rick Sherrell and wife Shirley, Springfield, MO; Larry Sherrell and wife Tonya, Springfield, MO, six grandchildren Brian, Chrissy, Nicholus, Karen, Amber and Mark as well as five great-grandchildren Kayla, Sarah, Rachel, Anthony, and Riley.

Memorial services will be Friday, January 27 at 6:30pm in Gorman-Scharpf University Chapel with visitation following the service. Interment will be Monday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery Columbarium.
