Age 91, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Bryan Hospital in Bryan, OH. She was born September 4, 1920 in Munising, MI, the daughter of William and Josephine B. (DeGarrie) Cloke.

On November 30, 1940, she married Alfred C. Curtiss and he preceded her in death January 5, 1999. She attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She loved her faithful companion, King Kurt VI, her 120-pound boxer. Survivors include: her sister, Kathryn Scott of Ypsilanti, her nephew, Donald Cloke and his girlfriend, Carol Grob, both of Saline, daughter-in-law, Laura Curtiss of AZ, special friend, Jan Powers and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and her son, Alfred "Al" Jr. The funeral mass will be 12 noon Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 910 Austin Drive, Saline with Fr. David R. Rosenberg as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washtenong Memorial Park. Contributions in her memory may be made to the MI Humane Society. Envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service where the family will receive friends 6-9 pm Wednesday and at the church from 11 am until time of mass Thursday.
