Age 67, passed away Thursday, October 22, 1998 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born November 20, 1930 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of William and Josephine (DeGarrie) Cloke. On April 19, 1952, she married Claude McPherson in Ypsilanti and he survives. Mary was a housewife all her life and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Whittaker, the Ypsilanti Women of the Moose #286, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus Council #8113, a Cub Scout Leader and trainer, recipient of the Silver Fawn Award and a very talented seamstress. In addition to her husband, survivors include: one daughter, Denise (Dennis) Pratt of Milan; two sons, Eddy (Diana) of SC and Robert of Ypsilanti; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Eva Foerster of FL, Dorothea (Al) Curtis of Osseo, MI and Catherine Scott of Ypsilanti; one son-in-law, Michael Saucer of TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deborah; one infant son; and four brothers. The funeral mass will be 12 noon, Saturday, October 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Bob Kerr celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Louis Center in Chelsea and envelopes are available at Stark Funeral Service Moore Memorial Chapel. Friends may call 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where the rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
