Woman Succumbs After Long Illness
YPSILANTI — Mrs. Josephine B. Cloke, 63, of 457 Ainsworth Circle, died last night at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor following a long illness. Mrs. Cloke was born March 21, 1895,in Newberry a daughter of Benjamin and Mary DeGarie, and married William F. Cloke on Nov. 27, 1913, in Munising. He survives. The couple had lived in Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor since 1929. Mrs Cloke was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Ypsilanti, the Moms Club of Ann Arbor and the Foresters Lodge of Munising. Besides her husband, survivors are two sons, Robert F. and William E., both of Ypsilanti; four daughters, Mrs. Eva Foerster of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Alfred (Dorothy) Curtiss of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Claude (Mary) McPherson of Pensacola, Fla., and Mrs. James (Catherine) Scott of Whitmore Lake. Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Sidney Johnson of Traverse City, and nine grandchildren. A Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Stevens and Bush Funeral Home, where friends may call.
