William M. Bennett
William M. Bennett, 83, 51 N. W. J St., died Wednesday at the Pinehurst Nursing Home in Centerville.
A native of Randolph County, he lived in the Economy area before moving to Richmond. A member of the Lynn Wesleyan Church, Mr. Bennett was a former Nazarene minister and a retired employee of the Richmond Gear Division, Wallace Murray Corp. He and his wife, Gladys, celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary December 24, 1980.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Virgil of Economy and Howard of R. R. 1, Williamsburg; two daughters, Mrs. John Overbey of Hagerstown and Barbara Corn of Lynn; 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Bennett will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Smith & McQuiston Funeral Home in Fountain City with the Revs. Robert Malone and Arthur Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Economy Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
