Son of Elisha Cook [1767-1850] and Wealthy Bishop [1771-1839]. Married Polly Spencer 09 Jan 1823. Polly deceased by 1835. 2nd marriage to Leah M Johnson Richardson 30 Aug 1835 in Dearborn County, Indiana. Thomas & Leah were parents of 8 children:

The family migrated from Sparta Twp, Dearborn County, Indiana between 1850-1860 to Adair County, Missouri, settling on a farm [known in later years as the "Old Brown Place"] west of Novinger, Adair County, Missouri. Here on this farm a small piece of land was set aside for a cemetery.

Cemetery Information: Four members of the Cook family are buried here: Leah [1874] & Thomas [1878] Cook and 2 Sibole grandchildren: William Constantine Sibole [1877] & Mary Esther Sibole [1880]. Members of the family have taken care of this little cemetery over the years. In 1990 the stones marking each grave were still there.
