Elda Minnie Louise Braatz was born on March 14, 1917, in Dupont, Wisconsin, to John and Ida (Miller). She grew up there with her siblings: Walter, Harold and Linda Much. Elda married Ruben Carl Hauschultz on December 21, 1937. The couple made there home on Ramsdell Street in Marion where they raised their children: Florence Kunst and Jerry who they tragically lost his life in the Vietnam War. Elda and Rueben were members of St. John's in Marion. She died on December 12, 1999, in at the age of 82. The couple are buried on Roseland Cemetery in Dupont.
