Doug was born to Claude & Ada Minerva (McAdams) Baxter of Livingston, Texas whom wed March 21, 1925 in Polk County, Texas. To this union were 8 Children born.

He married Sue Ellen Stapleton and to this union, two Children were born, Jeffrey Scott Baxter and Cherry Linn Baxter.

He married Blanch Smith. To this union I am not aware of any Children born.


Doug has 2 other siblings that are living. Louis Burrell and Alice Nell (Baxter) Howell.

Doug worked for Brown and Root Construction Company as a roughneck in the Petroleum business. He fell off of one of the high platforms while on a job, and was injured in his ankle and foot, and it never healed properly. Bone cancer was detected later on.

Uncle Doug, went to school in Livingston Texas and was a Graduate of Livingston High School.
