James Calvin Breeden, 70, of Rt. 3, Staunton, died in King's Daughters' Hospital 6:55 p.m. Friday (Feb. 28, 1986).
He was born in Augusta County July 18, 1915.
He was employed by the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation for 22 years before retirement. He was a member of High Noon Club.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Brenda S. Perry of Rt. 3,Staunton; two brothers, John of New Hope and Howard Breeden of Alexandria, and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Campbell of Staunton and Mrs. Hallie Raupp of Pennsylvania.
His wife, Mrs. Arlene Mary (Sipe) Breeden, died Nov. 10, 1971.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens by the Rev. Dennis L. Brown.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Henry Funeral Home at at other times at the residence.
Donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Staunton-West Augusta County unit, in care of Mrs. E.C. Dillman, Rt. 1, Box 15, Fort Defiance 24437, or the Memorial Trust Fund of the Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 N. Coalter St., Staunton 24401.
