Charlie M. Bish, 73, of Distant, Armstrong County, died Friday in the Armstrong County Memorial Hsopital at Kittanning following a short illness.

Born on December 2, 1893, in Porter Township, Jefferson County, he was the son of Lemon W. and Cora Hetrick Bish. He married the former Mertie Hilda Rhodes. She survives.

Mr. Bish, who resided in the area his entire life, was a carpenter. He was a member of the Deanvile Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Miss Lulu Bish of Distant, Howard Bish of Climax, Homer Bish of New Bethlehem RD 2, Mrs. Robert (Geraldine) Buzzard of Distant, Miss Martha Bish of Wyandotte, Mich., and Bernard Bish and Malcolm Bish, both of Distant.
Two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Pearle) King of Ford City and Mrs. John (Effie) Hilliard of Punxsutawney; two brothers, Thomas W. Bish of Mayport RD and Harry Bish of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, his parentsm two sisters and one brother.
