OBITUARY:

GEORGE E. EDEN George E. Eden was born Jan. 14, 1901, at Alexandria, Neb., and died Oct. 28, 1984, in a Jerome, Idaho, hospital after a lingering illness. On Oct 4, 1922, he married Delma Cavanaugh at Alexandria. The couple moved to the Shoshone-Gooding area in Idaho in 1928 where he farmed and operated a slaughterhouse in Gooding. He was a member of the First Christian Church at Gooding and the Wood river Center Grange at Shoshone.

Preceding him in death were his wife and three sisters.

Survivors include sons, Jack E. Eden of Corvallis, Mont., Dale E. Eden of Shoshone and Merl E. Eden of Twin Falls, Idaho; daughters, Beth Cooper of Boise, Idaho, and Ruth Ricks of Moab, Utah; brother, Harry Eden of Shoshone; sisters, Idalene Elma (Elam) of Boise and Hilda Gaston of Fairbury; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services were Nov. 1 at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding with the Rev. Harold Hake officiating.
