Age 79, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012, with his wife Alice by his side.
He was the son of the late Louis and Josephine Capodanno. Alphonse, better known to all as "Cappy", worked for Delmarva Power and was a manger at Business Enterprise for the Blind. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed listening to the games on the radio. He and his wife participated in many activities with the Delaware Association for the Blind. He was also a member of the Yorklyn/Hockessin Lions Club.
Alphonse will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years, Alice: brothers, Anthony and Fioravanti; and his adopted daughter, Karen Studer.
He is predeceased by 3 brother and 4 sisters.
Burial will be private at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, Alice suggests donations to be made in Al's memory to the Delaware Association for the Blind.
