Mary Pszczola

Age 87, of Wilmington, passed away on March 19, 2011. Mary was born in Wilmington on June 5, 1923, daughter of the late Louis and Josephine Capodanno.

She had been a longtime ACME employee, and later worked at the Post House until retirement. She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Senior Center. Possessing the deepest adoration for her son, Mary was endlessly and unconditionally devoted to her family.

Mary is survived by her son, Alex (Katherine); grandchildren, Karen and Alex III (Shelley); great-grandchildren, Alex IV, Alexis, and Aiden; brothers, Anthony Capodanno, Alfonse Capodanno, and Florindino Capodanno; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Mary's nephew, Michael Collier, for his attentive and loving care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 9th and DuPont Sts. in Wilmington, on Wednesday, March 23 at 11 am. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday morning, prior to mass, from 10-10:45 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19805.
