Wedding announcement, excerpt from 'Springfield Daily Republican' Jan 15, 1944: "Miss Sylvia Evelyn Manegre, daughter of Arthur Manegre of 1336 Allen Street, will become the bride of Pvt. Francis Joseph Manarite of the army, son of Mrs. Adele Manarite of 54 Sprague street, West Springfield Monday morning at 9 in St. Joseph's church...The bride-elect has chosen as her maid of honor and only attendant, Miss Elizabeth Manarite of West Springfield, sister of the prospective groom. Robert Manegre, nephew of the bride-elect, will be the best man..."

Obituary 'Springfield Daily Union' Apr 12, 1985, pg 16: "Sylvia E. (Manegre) Manarite, 65, of 78 George St., died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital. Born in Springfield, she had lived here 39 years and was a member of St. Anne's Church. She leaves her husband, Francis "Sam" Manarite; a son, Arthur F. of East Hampton; three daughters, Theresa Richton, Carol McCabe, and Donna Morrissey, all of Springfield, and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday morning at Curran-Jones Funeral Home and in the church with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery."
