Lovel Leroy Carter married Miss Lillie Moore, granddaughter of Mrs. Annie Lamar on 25 July 1946 at Graham, Texas in the Baptist parsonage officiated by the pastor, Rev. Dallas Lee. The couple made their home at 406 North Tennessee Street. The bride graduated from Graham High School in 1940, and Neilson Beauty College at Dallas. The groom was discharged from the US Army in 1945 after serving 2-1/2 years overseas in North Africa, Italy, and Ireland. The groom is a graduate of of Wichita Aviation Engineering School.

Lovel Carter, 67, was a retired salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Carter was a member of the American Legion, Disabled Veterans Association, and Masonic Lodge No. 485.

Survived by his wife; one son - Wesley M. Carter; four grandchildren; his father - Lee Carter; four sisters - Loyce Taylor, Ruby Hazelton, Patsy Boyle, Claudia Proctor.
