Brother DeHart was a native of Swain County and had been a resident of Haywood County since 1956. Surviving are two children, a daughter and her husband, Sharon and John Shubash of Las Vegas, NV and a son and his wife, Michael and Angela DeHart of Clyde; two brothers, Percival DeHart of Bryson City, NC, George DeHart of Indian Trail, NC, a sister, Kate Randolph of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at Canton First Baptist Church. The Reverend Carl Presnell and Reverend Dr. Rick Gosnell will officiate. Burial at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens with Masonic graveside rites was conducted by the Clyde Lodge #453 AF & AM.
