from the Republican for May 11, 1916:
Rainstown: Mrs. Sarah Lois Lowe, widow of Nathan Lowe, died at her home north of here, Tuesday evening, May 2, aged 73 years, 11 months and 5 days. Mrs. Lowe's health had been failing for some three or four years but her last sickness was of less than one week's duration. For five days she lay unconscious before passing to her heavenly home.
"Life's work well done,
Life's race well run,
Life's crown well won,
Now comes rest."
She leaves three children, Joseph, Jonathan and Miss Alice Lowe. Funeral services were conducted at the home, Thursday morning, by Rev. Masterson and Rev. Wayne G. Miller, after which the body was taken to the Mill Creek Conservative Friends church, of which the deceased was a member. At the close of the services at that place, the interment was at Mill Creek cemetery.
