The youngest child of Nathan and Sarah (Coffin) Lowe, Sarah was born on May 2, 1884. She married Walter H. Jackson on Sept. 22, 1916. They farmed in Union Township and were the parents of three children: sons Edwin R. and Emery Coffin and daughter Grace Ethel Fletcher.

Sarah A. Jackson, age 93, formerly of Lizton, died February 1 (1978) in the Garfield Nursing Home in Indianapolis. Services were in the Jones & Matthews Mortuary, Saturday, with Rev. Warren Mathis of the Fountain Square Christian Church in Indianapolis officiating. Burial was in the K. of P. Cemetery in Lizton. Mrs. Jackson was born May 2, 1884 in Hendricks County, the daughter of Nathan Lowe. Surviving are sons, Emory of California, Edwin of Lizton; daughter, Mrs. Grace Fletcher of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
