Wife of I G Cooper
Born Mar 13, 1808
Died Oct 30, 1872"
Israel G Cooper was born in Vermont 3 Dec 1800 and moved with his family to Williamson, Wayne County, New York around 1820. It appears this Susannah was the daughter of Joseph and Ruth Reynolds, also of Williamson, and they met and married there around 1827 or 1828. They were in Lucas County, Ohio in 1837, but by 1840 were in Branch County, Michigan, and then in LaSalle County, Ill. in the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses. They moved there to farm Israel's brother, Enoch's, bounty land from his service in the War of 1812, as he was disabled from his service. Israel G and Susannah had at least 3 sons, James L., Andrew S., and George J., but possibly also another son and two daughters, Ruth and Orinda. Both Israel G. and Susannah died before the 1880 census.
