"Harriet "Hattie" (7) Amanda Reynolds, born 16 December 1805 to Joseph (6) F. and Ruth, married in New York State 13 Dec. 1825, Elisha Hayden, Jr., a farmer, born 24 May 1801 Madison, Maine. They removed to Bedford Twp., Monroe Co., Michigan where Elisha 'took up' a land patent for 80 acres in Section 14 on 22 April 1834 and another for 40 acres in Section 15 on 28 June 1834. (See pages 34, 47 & 89 for copies of documents)

Harriet Amanda (7) (Reynolds) and Elisha Hayden were living in Bedford Township, Monroe County, Michigan at the time of the Joseph (6) F. Reynolds estate settlement in 1851. (See documents on pages 47 & 119) Amanda (7)'s family invited all the Reynolds descendants to the Ansted home for her eightieth birthday 17 December 1884.

Amanda (7) died in Toledo, Ohio 7 Dec. 1900 and is buried in the Old Erie Protestant Cemetery in Monroe County, Michigan, beside her husband, Elisha, who died in Bedford Township 18 Nov. 1859 in an accident. The 1850 Federal Census shows they were parents of...Marietta (8) Hayden..."
