Irene Blanton Ost
Irene Blanton Ost, 80 of Franklin Furnace, died Saturday, September 7, 2002 at Edgewood Manor in Lucasville. Irene was born June 25, 1922 to the late Seles Blanton and Susie Lemaster Blanton in McGoffin County, Ky. She retired from Ford Motor Company in 1971.
Survivors include her daughter Carolyn J. Stuart Leach of South Pasadena, Fla; two brothers, Paul and Elaine Blanton of Wheelersburg and Walter and Shirley ( Shelby) Blanton of Lucasville; two grandsons, Jeffrey S. McComas and William C. McComas and numerous great grandchildren, neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Ost on April 28,1998. They were married January 5, 1970 in Wise, Va. she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Bays, Rose Spradlin and Betty Valentine and two brothers, John Blanton and Mack Blanton.
Services were held Tuesday, September 10,2002 at 2pm at the Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Reverend Ronnie Blevins officiating. Burial was in Junior Furnace Cemetery.
