Mrs. Amanda Zeigler, aged 94 died at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday at the home of her son, John G. Zeigler, Security.
She had been in failing health for the past month and had been at the home of her son for the past week where she was confined to her bed.
She was born near Thurmont, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Patterson, and has lived all of her life in Waynesboro and vicinity. Her husband Rufus Zeigler, died 23 years ago.
She was a member of the Calvary Tabernacle Church in Waynesboro.
Survivng Mrs. Zeigler are 84 descendants, including six children, 24 grand children, 32 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren.
The was the last of her family of eleven children. The following are the surviving children; Mrs. Frank Shirk, Indian Springs; Mrs. Daniel Kendall, this city; John G. and Percy, Security; Mrs. Annie Carrey, Westminster, Md.; Mrs. Daniel Calimer, Waynesboro; George, Greencastle.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro in charge of Rev. Fleming Van Meter and Rev. Myers of the Pentacostal Church, this city. Interment in Harbaugh Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
