1867 - L. E. Alexander - 1928
Lincoln Ellsworth Alexander was born in Juda, Wis. in 1867 and died at Iowa City, Iowa, December 22, 1928. He was 61 years of age at the time of his death. Four years after his birth, his parents moved to Warren county, Iowa, and later to Cherokee county. A few years after coming to northwest Iowa they moved to Sutherland and lived here many years. In 1891 Mr. Alexander was married to Lilla Mae Towberman in Sutherland and to this union were born four children, Myrl, Helene, Ethlyn and Ellis, who, with his widow, survive him. Later they moved to Whatland, Iowa, where they remained until the time of his death which occured at Iowa City December 22.
From Mr. Alexander's brothers and sisters, only one of the seven is living, Mrs. Emma Dodge of Brule, Nebr., who helped care for him during his last illness.
Thos present at the funeral from out of town were; the widow of the cdeceased, Mrs. L. E. Alexander, Mrs. Rosa E. Frasier, of Spencer, Iowa, Mrs. Hartley Alexander of Larrabee, Iowa, Vern Alexander of Larrabee, Iowa, J. D. Towberman and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Mathews of Windon, Minn., Henry Rerick of Primghar, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dodge of Brule, Nebr., Mrs. Russell of Wheatland, Iowa, Mrs. Wagoner of Hartley, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Townsend of Lincoln, Nebr., and Mrs. Louise Tinkham of Fergus Falls, Minn.
