Alice Fern Ferguson of Holyoke was born near Ovid November 21, 1919 to Frank and Rebecca Heller Austin. She passed away Sunday, May 2, 1993 in Greeley at North Colorado Medical Center at the age of 73.

Alice attended a rural country school northwest of Holyoke and graduated from Phillips County High School with the class of 1937.

She moved to Denver and worked for a few years. She married Art S. Ferguson on October 4, 1942 at the home of her parents. They made their home on a ranch in the Wages Community. Art passed away in 1962. Alice remained on the ranch until 1964 when she moved to Holyoke.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Art, six sisters and one brother.

Survivors include sons Lee Ferguson and wife April of Claremont, California and Glen Ferguson and wife Kathy of Denver; brothers Frank Austin and wife Delores of Holyoke and Burl Austin of Julesburg; sisters Letha Holmquist and husband Vernon of Holyoke and Minnie Lundstrom of Denver; two grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.

Services were Wednesday, May 5, 1993 at the United Methodist Church in Holyoke with Rev. Jim Mort officiating. Burial followed in Holyoke Memorial Park.
