On account of the contagious character of the disease, a public funeral was not held. The body was brought to Holyoke on Sunday and laid to rest in the town cemetery.
Such deaths are always a severe blow to the family and friends but seem doubly so with the character of disease prevents family and friends from accompanying the body of the dear one to the last resting place. The family have the sympathy of all in their and affliction.
