Henry Ferdinand Carl Bramstedt, 68, a retired Town of Herman farmer died at his farm home at 6:10 a.m. today following a lingering illness.
He was born Feb. 28, 1888, in the Town of Herman, the son of Henry, and Augusta Grunwald Bramstedt. He was baptized March 18, 1888, by the Rev. F. Karth. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove, March 23, 1902, by the Rev. Gustav Voit.
He was married on Dec. 31, 1910, to Miss Edna Roehrborn. He was a life-long member of Trinity Church. He served as elder and trustee for a number of terms, and as a member of the building committee for, the new parsonage in 1948 and 1949.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Henry Jr., Erdman; Roman and Willard, Town of Herman; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Martin, of Alpha, Minn.; Otto of Fond du Lac; and Edwin of Sheboygan; three sisters, Mrs. August (Laura) Kueter, Mrs. Martha Kalk, and Mrs. Edwin (Edna) Roehrborn, all of the Town of Herman.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Herman, by the Rev. Hans Tornow. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may view the body at the Walter H. Ahrens Funeral Home, Howards Grove, from 2 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church until the time of service.
