J. C. "Jake" Canup, age 86, of Marietta, died October 9, 2007. Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Rex Cox officiating.
Mr. Canup was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. He worked for Lockheed for 24 years in maintenance before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Canup was preceded in death by his parents J. O. Canup and Elizabeth Newberry Canup and by his loving wife Mignonette Jackson Canup.
Survivors include brother and sister-in-law George W. and Evylene Canup of Marietta; sister Jennie M. Cantrell of Acworth; brother and sister-in-law Carl Crafton & Sue Canup of Kennesaw.
