Carl Canup, Sgt in the U.S. Army, fought in the Battle of the Bulge as well as many other fierce battles in Europe. He received numerous medals and commendations, including a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. Following his discharge, he remained connected to many who also served in the Army's 106th Infantry/426th Regiment.
