Donald Ward, Jr., 70, died Friday, March 29, at his home in Bremerton. He was born Nov. 15, 1925, in La Veta, Colo. He married his wife, Jean, on May 6, 1951, in Washington, D.C. He served in the United States Navy and retired in 1980 as a foreman at the Keyport Torpedo Station, where he had worked for 10 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Deborah Hankins of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Karen Cole and Barbara Orser of Port Orchard; four brothers, David of Shelton, Charles of Oceanside, Calif., and Moses and Melvin, both of Colorado Springs; three sisters, Ofelia Wells of Walsenburg, Colo., and Edith Carter and Mildred Ward Largent of Colorado Springs; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
