"Ojai Physician Richard Booth dies in Seatte
Funeral services for Dr. Richard G. Booth, 40, Ojai, will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Ojai Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Walter K. Robie officiating. Burial will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura
Dr. Booth died Friday in Seattle after a short illness. He was born Feb 22, 1940 in Boston, and was a 12-year county resident, coming from San Diego.
He was a family practice physician for the past 10 years. He was a graduate of the University of California, Riverside and UCLA School of Medicine. He served his internship at San Diego County General Hospital. He served two years in the U. S. Navy.
He was a member of the Ojai Rotary Club and was on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society. He was a charter fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, a diplomat of the American Board of Family Physicians, and at the time of his death was vice-president of the medical staff at Ojai Community Hospital.
Dr. Booth is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Kimberly of Ojai; mother, Doris G. Booth of La Jolla; sister, Carolyn L. Booth of San Diego.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Adult Leukemia Center at the Fred L. Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, 1124 Columbia, Seattle, Wash., 98104, or to the American Cancer Society,
