Pair To Live In Marblehead. After Honeymoon in Canada, Oct 1
Honeymooning in Canada are Richard Frith [sic] Booth, Occidental College granduate and former South Pasadenan, and his bride, who is the former Miss M. Doris Graham of Swampscott, Mass., and Boothbay Harbor, Me. They were married August 20 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon in Memorial Chapel on Ocean Point, Boothbay, where her parents, Prof. and Mrs. Percy Graham, have their summer home. Dr. Philip Frick of New York City, uncle of the bridegroom, officiated. A reception followed in the gardens of the Graham residence.
Mr. Booth is the son of Mrs. Olive F. Booth, 1627 Lyndon Street, South Pasadena, in which city he was reared. Mrs. Booth went East for the ceremony. Since completing his post graduate study at the Harvard School of Business Administration, Mr. Booth has resided in the East and represented a nationally known shoe concern throughout the eastern states. He and his bride will live in Marblehead, Mass., after October 1,
For her wedding, the bride wore white silk net, with a daintily ruffled train. The gown was made on a taffeta foundation and a cluster of orange blossoms held her fingertip veil. She carried an armful of Gerbera daisies.
Miss Janet B. Graham was her sister's maid of honor and wore aqua marquisette with matching fingertip veil of tulle held by a coronet of fuscia velvet to match the gladiolas she carried. A few pink blossoms were mingled with the deeper shades for contrast.
Assisting Mr. Booth were three brothers of the bride, Philip Graham as best man; Richard and Robert Graham and also, Husland Wrighjt of New York, ushers.
The bride is a graduate of the State Teaches' College, Farmington." (end transcription - hmh)

Note:
Monabell Doris Graham Booth was the oldest child of Percy C. Graham and Monabell Adelaide (Gloucester) Graham. Her father, Percy Graham was a noted educator of music throughout New England, and Professor of Music at Boston College.
Doris graduated from State Teacher's College in Farmington, MA, and was a dietician and member of the faculty at Central Junior High School in Quincy, MA, where she taught for ten years, prior to her marriage.
Her younger brother, Philip Graham, was a Republican State Senator in MA for many years.
Doris had a sweet temperament and was known by her family and friends for her kindness, generosity and graciousness.
She died, peacefully and with dignity, at Scripps Memorial Hospital, in La Jolla, CA, on Oct 6, 2002, from a respiratory condition, at age 95.
She and her husband were very active members of St. James Episcopal Church, in La Jolla. Her remains were cremated and the ashes buried with those of her husband, in All Saint's Episcopal Church, in Oceanside, CA. (hmh)
