He was a native of Bulloch County and lived in Wayne County most of his life. He was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church and established the Jesup Auto Supply Store, Bailey Drilling, the Wayne Industrial Supply Co. and developed the Holly Hills subdivision of Jesup.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Frankie Yeomans Bailey of Jesup; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and LaRod Bowen of Jesup; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy and Sue Bailey of McDonough, Russell and Carolyn Bailey of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Alvin and Janet Bailey of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a brother, Harold Bailey of Covington; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Thursday at Jesup Church of God, burial in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. -Savannah Now, Nov 1999
