George Stephen Cornell, 53, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at home after a lengthy illness.
Born July 12, 1958, he was the son of the late William L. and Virginia E. Cornell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda L. Cornell and a brother, Clarence W. "Bill" Cornell.
Surviving are three sisters, Nancy S. Vilt, Carol Ann Potts and Darlene D. Boggs; one brother, Donald L. Cornell; 18 nephews and 12 nieces.
George's hobbies included working on bicycles and dirt bikes, but his favorite was building model cars.
Family and friends will gather from noon-8p.m. on Wednesday at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where a service will be held on Thursday at 11a.m. with Pastor Steve Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in shadow lawn Memory Gardens.
George lived a life filled with love, patience and compassion for everyone he has ever known, especially children. They adored his unbelievable sense of innocence, which had a way of touching someone's heart. As he walked every step of his life here on earth, George has been able to impact many lives. He will always be remembered and most of all, a great inspiration to those that knew him.
