Carol Ann Barrickman Potts, who grew up in Lawrenceville and resided here all of her life, lost her courageous and difficult battle with cancer on Friday March 28, 2014 at the Nentwick Convalescent Center in East Liverpool.
Carol was 52 years old, born on October 9, 1961 in East Liverpool to the late Francis M. and Virginia Buckholz Barrickman
She had worked as a Hospitality Coordinator at the Holiday Inn Express in Newell and she was a member of the Etruria Street Church of God in East Liverpool.
Carol was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 21 years, graduated from Oak Glen High School in 1979 and was and active organizer for the American Cancer Society.
Preceding her in death were her sister, Linda Lou Cornell, and her brothers, Clarence "Bill" William Cornell, and George Stephen Cornell.
Carol leaves her loving and devoted husband, Joseph R. Potts, at home, sisters, Nancy Sue Vilt of Chester, and Darlene Boggs and husband Raymond of Lisbon, brother, Donald Lee Cornell of Chester, nieces and nephews who she considered her own children, Brian, Samantha, and John Bell and Virginia Vilt as well as several other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Private interment will be held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
