Mary Agnes Winkeljohn, age 90, a resident of Albuquerque from 1973 until 1994, avid Tanoan Country Club golfer, and member of Sangre de Cristo Catholic Community, passed away on July 5, 2000, at the Franciscan at Saint Leonard's Nursing Home in Centerville, OH. Mary was born in St. Henry, OH on March 30, 1910 and was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred in 1974, brothers, Albert Beckman and Luke Beckman and a sister, Leona Gast. Mary is survived by her son, Alan of Albuquerque and a daughter, Lois Scherzinger and her husband, Mark of Centerville, eight grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife, Lori of Vienna, VA, Michael and his wife, Deborah of Albuquerque, Timothy and his wife, Sevie of Spokana, WA, Andrew of Tucson, AZ, and their mother, Mary Anne Winkeljohn of Albuquerque, Donna Clements and her husband, Kenneth of Phoenix, AZ, Linda Witt and her husband, Thomas of Noblesville, IN, Robert Scherzinger and his wife, Lee Anne of Indianapolis, IN, and William Scherzinger of Albuquerque, seven great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Eric Windeljohn of Vienna, Michelle Winkeljohn of Albuquerque, Nicole and Sarah Clements, and Kelli and Eric Witt, sister, Eva Schrita of Aiken, SC and sisters-in-law, Sister Madonna Winkeljohn, CPPS of Dayton, OH, Eleanor Winkeljohn of Lima, OH and Esther Winkeljohn of Celina, OH and 19 loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Franciscan at Saint Leonard's Alzheimer's Programming, 8100 Clyo Rd., Centerville, OH 45458. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning, in the Chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, burial next to her husband, will follow the service, Fr. James Huth, celebrating. Visitation will be in the Gate of Heaven Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Michael Winkeljohn, Timothy Winkeljohn, Andrew Winkeljohn, Robert Scherzinger, William Scherzinger, Kenneth Clements and Thomas Witt. Honorary will be Jeffrey Winkeljohn.
