Mrs. Morris of Mountain Peak Dies Early Today Mrs. Sarah Ann Morris, 86, a resident of the Mountain Peak community for 68 years, died at 7 a.m. today. She was visiting in the home of a daughter, Mrs. F. P. Stead of Blum, at the time of her death.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home chapel and burial will follow in the Mountain Peak Cemetery.
Mrs. Morris, a native of Alabama, was born on Jan. 1, 1876. Her husband died in 1961 at Mountain Peak (really at Fort Worth).
She was a member of the Mountain Peak Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Bill Morris of Fort Worth, Grady Morris of Itasca and Earl Morris of Arkansas; four daughters, Mrs. Nolan Bryan of Fort Worth, Mrs. F. P. Stead of Blum, Mrs. Truett Mason of Lancaster and Mrs. Christelle Roberts of Houston; 17 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. B. O. Herring of Brownwood and J. B. Herring of Dallas; and two sisters, Mrs. W. J. Stead of Blum and Miss Minnie Herring of Blum (really of Dallas).
