Lillian Rodgers Rushing, of Millington born April 6, 1917 to M.H. and Lillian Mead Rodgers in Rosa, AR, passed away December 15, 2011 in Millington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Allen B. Rushing, daughter, Helen Norman, son, James Raymond Norman, seven brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Rushing Lambert of Millington, TN; one sister, Peggy (Leroy) Boatwright of Millington, on e grandson, one granddaughter, and one special granddaughter, Melissa McGee, many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved very much. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, and all types of needlework, and sewing for family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Millington and was a member of First Baptist Church in Blytheville, AR for 48 years before moving to Millington. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and leader in Explorer Bible study for seven years. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 16 at the Millington Chapel with a graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17 at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, AR.
