Mrs. Lillian E. Rodgers, age 85, widow of M. H. Rodgers, died Tuesday in Chickasawaba Hospital. She was born in Glimp, Tennessee and moved to Mississippi County in 1917. She was a member of the Lake Street Methodist Church, the African Violet Club, and the Eastside Garden Club.
She leaves four sons, J. W. Rodgers of Millington, TN, Louie N. Rodgers and Marshall Hueit Rodgers Jr., both of LaCanada, CA, Charles E. Rodgers of Seagraves, TX; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Rushing of Blytheville and Mrs. Peggy Boatwright of Millington, TN; one brother, Frank Mead of Memphis; one sister, Mrs. Florence Baker of Memphis; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Home chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
